Nano Coating Technology
As a general statement, in coating technology, the smaller the materials used, the higher the bond strength of the end product and the better the performance and functionality. Replacing even micron level particulates with nanometer scale materials can create a major impact on bond strength and barrier protection.
Few coatings companies have developed nanotechnology in their simulated nano structureformulations and processes. Even fewer have commercialized nanotechnology products. Our products include both traditionally formulated particulate coatings as well as new nano-scale formulated coatings. With our proprietary technology and processes, nano-formulated surface treatments will be adaptively engineered from traditional coating formulas, or, in many instances, created from scratch. These new formulas will produce superior characteristics in binding, penetration, preservation and other commercially beneficial qualities new to the marketplace.
Customers are embracing nano-formulated coatings from our wholly owned subsidiary High Performance Coatings (HPC), a worldwide leader in blending and application of both traditional and nano-formulated high performance coatings. HPC's valued customers include major automotive, trucking, and recreational vehicle manufacturers, aerospace manufactures, aftermarket parts manufacturers, and government entities such as the US Military and NASA.

"Every industry that involves manufactured items will be impacted by nanotechnology research. Everything can be made in some way better - stronger, lighter, cheaper, easier to recycle -- if it's engineered and manufactured at the nanometer scale."--
Stan Williams, Director of Quantum Science Research, HP Labs
